Thinking About the Expert Classy Plus?
This coffee and espresso maker review covers the Lavazza Expert Classy Plus: how it makes your drinks, what you need alongside it, and the tradeoffs to consider before buying.
Buy capsules made for the Lavazza Expert system. Other Lavazza capsule ranges won’t necessarily work just because they share the brand name.
Full Amazon Product Name: Lavazza Expert Coffee Classy Plus Single Serve ALL-IN-ONE Espresso & Coffee Brewer Machine - (Includes Built-in Milk Vessel/Frother)
What’s It Like to Use the Expert Classy Plus Every Day?
The Lavazza Expert Classy Plus keeps the coffee portion easy: add a compatible Lavazza Expert capsule and choose your drink. You don’t need to grind beans or fill an espresso basket. Keep the water ready and empty used capsules so the machine is set for the next cup.
Make sure you like the capsule choices before buying the machine. Lavazza has more than one capsule range, and the brand name alone doesn’t tell you whether a capsule fits.
What About Lattes and Cappuccinos?
If milk drinks are your favorite, the Expert Classy Plus gives you some help with that part. You don’t have to handle every part of steaming manually. Set up the jug or milk container the way the instructions show, choose the available milk settings, and make your drink.
How much the machine does for you depends on the design. You’ll still need to add milk and wash the parts it touches. Before choosing the Lavazza Expert Classy Plus, check the milk instructions to make sure the cleanup feels manageable for your mornings.
What Else Will You Need?
You won’t need a grinder for the Lavazza Expert Classy Plus coffee maker. Your main repeat purchase is Lavazza Expert capsules. Check the coffees you want to drink and work out what a normal week would cost.
A low machine price can look less attractive if you don’t like the coffee choices or find each serving expensive.
What’s Good, and What Should You Think About?

How Easy Is the Expert Classy Plus to Clean?
After milk drinks, run the rinse the machine calls for and wash the removable milk parts as directed. A cleaning button is helpful, but it doesn’t mean every milk part takes care of itself.
Descaling takes care of minerals inside the water path; washing the removable coffee parts is a different job. Use the products and cleaning steps recommended for this machine.
Leave room to refill and clean it. Before putting the Lavazza Expert Classy Plus under a cabinet, check that you can open the lids and remove the tank or tray. A machine that fits on paper can still be awkward when you use it.
What Could You Buy Instead of the Expert Classy Plus?
Not quite sure this is the one? These machines give you a few other options to weigh up. Look at how they make coffee, what you do with the milk, and whether a grinder is included.
